It’s been a long time coming, but the world is finally getting ready to take delivery on drones.
But just how far will we take them?
We caught up with a handful of startups and their executives to get their thoughts on the future of delivery.
They’re trying to bring the world’s largest and most reliable delivery service to cities like New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
We asked if there’s any way we’ll get a glimpse of how it will work.
The coffee shop industry is growing and expanding, and it’s a great time for delivery companies.
The company Cessna has seen a massive growth of its service, with an estimated 1,600 locations in 40 countries and now a global reach of more than 4,000.
But for a startup that’s focused on serving customers with the latest technology and new methods, the technology is just getting started.
In its current form, the service doesn’t have a name yet, but Cessnas drones are mostly manned by people, so the company is experimenting with different types of drone, from helicopters to helicopters, drones that can fly at high speeds and drones that are designed to be able to drop people from high places.
Cessnans CEO, Scott A. Pendergrass, told us that Cessnamos drones are currently the only drone company that can deliver to multiple locations at once.
We’ll be hearing more about Cessns drone capabilities and plans as the company develops them.
Pendergrass said that Cresselos drone is currently able to deliver a package of 10 pounds to one location, but that it will be able soon to deliver packages larger than that.
“It’s going to be an exciting time for us because we can go out there and we can fly in the air and deliver a lot of packages,” he said.
The Cressellos drones will also be able carry more than just the packages themselves, which are expected to be used to transport people around the city.
The CEO also noted that the drones will be equipped with sensors to help keep them in the skies.
Cessnas drones have already been tested in the Chicago area and have been used for delivery in Los Angeles, New York and Boston.
But now that the technology has been developed, the company plans to begin offering deliveries in New York.
We got the chance to speak with Cessney CEO Scott Pendergras about the potential of delivery drones.
Penders drone is designed to deliver an item to a person on the ground, which means it is able to be delivered by an aircraft.
Penders drones are already flying around New York City and the company says they are ready to fly more.
“We’ve been in the New York area for three months, we’ve been flying all over New York,” he told us.
“They’ve done a tremendous job with the delivery of packages.
We’ve done over 5,000 deliveries in the last six months, which is a record.”
The company has already built a fleet of Cressels drones and is planning to begin using them in major markets like Boston, Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia.
“There are several cities that we’ve already launched flights over,” Pendergrees said.
He added that the company has plans to start flights in the U.S. and Canada soon.
Pending regulatory approval, Pendergre said the company hopes to have its first drone in the field by 2020.
Pending regulatory approvals, however, is a big hurdle for a delivery startup.
“That’s going take a lot longer than we thought,” he admitted.
“The regulatory process can be a little longer than expected.”
But, Penders CEO says, the first deliveries will happen sooner rather than later.
“If we can get to a point where we can do the pilot program before that, then we’ll probably be able [in 2020],” he said, adding that there are several companies who have already successfully tested their drones.
Cresselons CEO Scott A Pendergas said the pilotless delivery service could help bring the U
